Kyler- 7 months

Our littlest girl is 7 months old. Like usual, time is flying and I am in denial she isn't 3 months old anymore!!!

Our Little Miss Ky Ky is sitting up all by herself, which is a major accomplishment considering the size of her head. Im not being mean and making fun of my girl, but really she has a massive head. We spent a few weeks going to specialists and making sure that it was nothing more than a large noggin. Those were a few rough weeks for me with the words tumour and extra spinal fluid in the brain being thrown at me. After a quick ultrasound and the longest 20 minuets of my life, they confirmed that she indeed does just have an Edmonds head! The head circumference is in the 105th percentile with her body being in the 10th for height and 15th for weight. Just a bit out of proportion, but at least she is cute :)

Other than that she is a happy, easy baby. Sleeping 12 1/2 hours at night and still napping 4 times a day! (yay for mommy and her sanity!) I am pretty sure she is trying to cut her bottom two teeth which is no fun. She is finally starting to enjoy food. It has taken her a little bit. Lots of gagging and refusing to open her mouth. Girlfriend can definitely be difficult when she wants to be! (no idea where she gets that from...)

She is a mommies girl totally and completely! Kynley was so easy about who she would go to. I could literally hand her to anyone and she wouldn't bat an eye. Kyler loves mommy. And Daddy. But she has serious issues when either of us is not in sight! If I walk out of a room that she is in you can expect tears. It drives me nuts sometimes, but I know I should treasure it, with time, she won't want to have anything to do with me!

I am doing something totally crazy and taking both girls, by myself, back to america to visit the fam, and go to my sisters graduation in San Diego. My hubby can't go because he as to work...so it will just be me, with two banshee children on the plane...Help? It was such a hard decision to make, but I would be devastated if I had to miss it, or leave one of my girls behind. So I am sucking it up and hoping for the best (yes i am using drugs to help me out. For all of us haha) I am just crossing my fingers Kyler hasn't started to crawl at that point. If she has...I may be begging someone to book a flight an come with to help. Any volunteers?! Im just excited to see my family and have them see the girls. It is rough not having them here to watch my kids grow.  We will be in Seattle May 4-14th and then San Diego 14th-18th.

Kynley and Kyler are finally really starting to get along and play together. Kyler thinks Kynley is hilarious, and Kynley likes Kyler....sometimes. As long as kyler isn't touching her or pulling her hair she is ok with her. They love having bath time together. Kyler just laughs at Kynley most of the time.

Dad is in vintage so he hasn't been home a lot, so its just the girls and I most of the time. We will be happy when it is over and we get hime back...and I can have some time to myself.

Other than that we are enjoying our crazy chaos that surrounds us everyday. Very grateful to have two amazing, healthy babies to call mine :)

6 Months!

Our little KyKy is officially 6 months old and I just have one question....when the hell did that happen???? How does time fly so quickly? Especially with two crazies running around I feel like everything goes so much faster. Days can turn into a blur. and really, where did my babies hair go?!?! She had all of this beautiful hair when she was born and now she is nearly bald!

I missed the 5 month blog, but at least I took a photo. Kyler is coming into one of my favorite ages. 6-10 months was my favorite age with Kynley, before she started moving and having serious attitude, yes it starts young! Kyler is a happy little smiley girl. Big beautiful eyes and an adorable gummy smile. She has been working on her two bottom teeth for a few months now and we're all just ready for them to come through! Between the two of us we have been to the doctor almost every week. She has been sick a lot lately with ear infections, fevers, a virus....the list goes on. Poor little love. This last week she has had really high fevers all week and her sleep has gone out the window...which means mine has as well. Hoping to get her back on schedule now that she is on the mend.

Kyky loves blowing raspberries, is almost sitting up, rolls over and LOVES her daddy. The way her eyes light up when she see's him melts my heart. At the moment she wants everything that you are eating and drinking , but isn't a huge fan of food yet. We are working on it, I think it took Kynley awhile to like food as well. She also thinks her older sister is HILARIOUS! Kyler is constantly laughing at things Kynley does. I am dying for them to be able to play together. I feel like it will start happening more onces Kyler is sitting up on her own. She just has a massive head to support so I think it will be a bit longer ;) She talks and squeals a lot....our house is never quiet between the two of them.

I feel now that i have gotten the hang if two kiddos. I do find myself in disbelief that my life is as chaotic as it is regularly and it is now the norm! I think I do relatively well with the chaos. Both girls sleep through the night for at least 12 hours straight (when their not sick). A good nights sleep always makes me a better mommy in the morning!!! Kyler has a dr app to get her big noggin checked. The dr is worried about the size of her head, maybe her skull fused too soon. Im not too concerned about it. My husband had/has a massive head and so did Kynley! Its that damn Edmonds box head ;) But we will see. Etiher was she definitely struggles lifting it which means she probably won't be crawling for awhile.

She brings so much happiness everyday I just love this little girl.

Kyler- 3month update

Since Kyler has been born, I have been anxiously waiting for her to hit the 3 month mark. Not because I want things to go quickly, but because once she turned 3 months old I knew it would be about the time we were headed home to see my family!!! Two weeks from today we will be back home with my WHOLE FAMILY and I am way too excited. It has been rough not having all of my sisters and our step dad not have met my littlest girl yet, but the time is nearly here.

Little miss Kyler is getting very interactive, lots of giggling and smiles :) It is always so much fun when they start to laugh. Of course daddy is the funniest but I am a close second. Kynley still doesn't spend too much time with her, she is too busy sunning around destroying things. But every now and then when she is having a break for being destructive she will come and give "baby" a kiss and say "ya too" (love you).

Kyler is still s phenomenal sleeper, she is still sleeping majority of the day and then sleeps from 6pm-7am. I have gotten so many nights of full sleep I am feeling like a human again. just in time to ruin it all by changing time zones! Kynley was always so good at the time change, so I am hoping Kyler is as well. She currently HATES tummy time and her car seat and LOVES her dummy and play mat...that is, until her older sister comes along and steals the dummy out her her mouth and looks at me what her hands out like "what? what did I do?".

She is very sensitive to loud noises, especially Kynley's loud screaming and startles way too easily. If I cough or sneeze it is sure to scare the bajeebies (is that a word?) out of poor Kyky. At the moment she is never far away from a 20 minute screaming meltdown. Sometimes she is overtired, others is an upset tummy. She is definitely a more sensitive baby than Kynley ever was. I am hoping we can avoid meltdowns on the plane...fingers crossed. We have some really good days and some really bad ones. Im just lucky she is a good day sleeper so even if a meltdown occurs i can usually just rock her to sleep.

Life which two is definitely getting easier as we hit the 3 month mark. Everyone more comfortable with our new normal and we have a flow that works for us. I even make it out the door on time more often than not! i am just beyond excited to get the girls back to my sisters to love on and give this mommy and daddy a break...and maybe even a date night!

Kynley Update:

I keep saying I need to do a Kynley post and I promise I will...for now she is just a typical 21 month old. She is getting lots of words, but her favourites are Dummy, Nite nite, love you, see ya and SHOES!!!! The kid is shoe obsessed. Like put on a new pair ever hour, wear my shoes around the house, and if we can't find a matching one to a pair you better believe the world is coming to an end!!!

I am ALL about Christmas so it has been exciting to share a little bit of it with Kynley. She has assisted me in putting up our Christmas tree...and knocking it over 3 times! (its is just a little fake one since we don't spend x-mss here) When I first put it up, she went straight to it and repeatedly tried to blow out the lights! It was adorable. I also love blasting Christmas carols in the car. She loves to sing along (aka yelling at the top of her lungs) and at the end she always shouts YAY! and claps. Her current favourite movies are Finding Nemo and Tinkerbell Fairies movies. And she likes to go to the pantry and the fridge 50 times a day and stare and yell for snacks that usually get dumped on the floor and never fully get eaten. Sometimes she will come up to me and sit on my lap and grab my face with both of her hands and just stare at me haha She is crazy, but anyone who knows my husband and myself wouldn't expect our kids to be anything other than crazy.

There is so much more to tell but i do believe I finally have both girls in bed and it is wine time for the husband and I. Ill work on a post this week ;)
